Creativity, Activity and Service

Welcome to West Island School's CAS programme

West Island School has a passion for experiential learning. Together we work hard to ensure 'every student can be the very best that they can be’

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is the heart of the school and provides our students with abundant opportunities to develop themselves and their passions through a broad spectrum of inter, extra and co-curricular activities. With its holistic approach, CAS is designed to strengthen and extend students’ personal and interpersonal learning.

Vision

A CAS programme that encourages experiential learning and to ensure that our students have every opportunity to achieve in ways, and to levels, beyond their perceived limits.

Mission

To ensure that students have access to exceptional learning opportunities that emphasise achievement, personal fulfillment, service to others and are aware of their responsibilities as global citizens.

Aims

The CAS programme at West Island school aims to provide with a holistic education. Students will experience:

CAS and the learner profile

The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognising their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

IB learners strive to embody the attributes of the IB learner profile and CAS enables them to do this in real, authentic ways.

The IB learner profile represents 10 attributes valued by IB World Schools. We believe these attributes, and others like them, can help individuals and groups become responsible members of local, national and global communities.
